Experience Desert Life

The base camp of Hacra Dhani is near Osian,in the Jodhpur district. Jodhpur has direct train and air services every day from Delhi and other major cities of India. From Jodhpur, you can either be picked up by private jeep or take the public bus to Osian. If you wish to take the bus, make your way to the government bus stand at RAI KA BAGH Jodhpur (any rickshaw driver will know it) and ask for the bus to Osian-Phalody route.
The bus takes 1.5- 2 hours to Osian, where you must get off. From Osian, we will pick you up by jeep and transfer you to base camp.

Jodhpur's location also makes it an easy distance either by taxi/car,jeep or bus from other popular destinations in Rajasthan, such as Jaipur, Udaipur, Pushkar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer. Taxi/Car +driver or Jeep transfers to your preferred destinations can be arranged. Buses are recommended only for shorter tours/journeys in Rajasthan. Though bus stations in India may at first appear chaotic, it is definitely organized chaos and people are usually very helpful.
For journeys lasting 6-7 hours or more, we strongly recommend travel by train or air.

Accommodation is basic. We have no running water or electricity. During homestays, you will sleep in traditional 'jhumpas':- circular huts home made of sand stone with straw roofs. However, many guests prefer to sleep outside, under the stars. We have a western style toilet+bucket water in a wash room exclusively used by guests. Cot+Bedding is provided, though towels are not.
We hope you will appreciate a simple lifestyle such as ours.
