Ranakpur and Kumbhalgarh fort sit en route between Rawla Narlai and Udaipur, so it’s well worth visiting one or both of these sights if travelling between Udaipur and Rawla Narlai by car.
Kumbhalgarh fort, which comes under UNESCO’s protected Hill Forts of Rajasthan, is perched on a hilltop 1100 meters above sea level. It’s easily one of Rajasthan’s most impressive forts, dating back to 1485. The ramparts are up to 20 feet thick with a perimeter wall that extends 36 kilometers. There are over 360 temples within the fort itselfthe fort has the second-largest wall in the world, after the great wall of China.
Ranakpur Temple, on the other hand, is known for its spectacular and intricate marble Jain temple. The sight dates back to the 1400’s and its ornate carved pillars make it one of the world’s most impressive Jain temples.
Enjoy a day horse safari from our stable near Rawla Narlai to Ranakpur on Marwari horses, covering beautiful countryside and rural villages that surround the Godwar area. These pure breed Marwari horses are well trained horses for ride and experienced safari guide accompany you during the ride. If you have a thirst of longer ride or a week long safari best time is November to February and one can cover distance of 35km on a horseback ride to Ranakpur Jain temple.
Tour the countryside of Narlai is a real ‘gem’ of an experience in rural Rajasthan for a day or two to explore the authentic village life. Take a sort village walk or a day trek with a local community member, which is a wonderful way to understand the life of the people that live in and around Rawla Narlai. your walking end with a climb up to elephant rock known as ‘Elephant hill of Narlai’ that overlooks the town and surrounding area. This is a fabulous view at sunset or sunrise.
